Welcome to the Suzuki Laboratory

Suzuki Laboratory, Department of Advanced Energy, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo.

Our group's research focus lies in general fluid dynamics and gas dynamics, ranging from low speed to the speed of light (no, this is not a speed mistake!). Within this field, we are engaged especially strongly in research on solar system exploration, space navigation, and future aircraft. The Suzuki Laboratory is based in Kashiwa Campus, The University of Tokyo.

Research

Each member of the Suzuki Laboratory is conducting research on a different theme.

Research topics are wide-ranging, and include fluid dynamics, re-entry vehicles, computational fluid dynamics, theoretical fluid dynamics, planetary explorers, vortex phenomena, turbulence phenomena, and airflow control by plasma.

The laboratory comprises students from the Dpt. of Advanced Energy at Kashiwa Campus, and from the Dpt. of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Hongo Campus. Our research is not limited to aerospace engineering and also includes a fusion with other fields.

Publications & other outputs

The Suzuki Lab. presents its research in various conferences and publications.

These include conferences held by the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (JSASS), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and the International Astronautical Federation, as well as top-tier peer-reviewed journals.

We provide a list of papers, awards, patents, etc.
